Christians may have a false sense of security after the Dobbs decision. Is the tide turning in our favor? It may not be.

Last August, the conservative majority on the US Supreme Court finally overturned the 1973 Roe v. Wade decision legalizing abortion nationwide. Naturally, we Christians are rejoicing. But the recent Dobbs decision is hardly the end of our battle to uphold the rights of the unborn. About a dozen states with “trigger” laws have already reduced the number of weeks after pregnancy allowed for a mother to terminate her pregnancy. But other states will be debating new laws, some of which may seek to restore the old Roe v. Wade standard. It’s going to be another prolonged fight for justice and dignity – and life – for the unborn.

But current abortion laws are not the only battle. The Biden administration and pro-abortion groups also want to make it easier for pregnant women to kill their babies “medically” – that is, without a doctor’s visit, or even a doctor’s permission. How? By taking a pill that destroys the gestating fetus in the womb. The pill, known as mifepristone, is supposed to be controlled by prescription, but it’s available – though not legally – my mail order online. Some states ban its online purchase outright, but Biden is now considering whether to lift these restrictions so that women everywhere can get it – and kill their babies at will.

Sounds monstrous, doesn’t it? Yes, it does. It’s nothing less than MAIL ORDER MURDER. If permitted by law, could effectively undo what the Supreme Court just did to protect the rights of the unborn. This latest attack on those rights must be stopped.

“Medical” abortion – the euphemistic term for pharmaceutical homicide – is more widespread than many people realize. It’s estimated that slightly over half of all abortions are now carried out in this fashion. For women intent on killing their babies before they’re born, medical abortion is as convenient as popping a pill for depression – or just a common cold. There’s no need to visit a doctor’s office, in the presence of other women, making public your decision to kill your baby. You don’t have to submit to a medical procedure in which your precious fetus is sucked out of your body and laid to rest like a corpse in a stainless steel pan.

In the privacy of your own home, without anyone knowing, you can end the life of your baby in a manner of minutes. You don’t have to see the tiny, twisted body that could have been your son or daughter. It’s a horrific solution that eliminates the need for reflection that sometimes leads women to reconsider their decision to seek an abortion.

Of course, one of the big winners here is Big Pharma, which continually manufactures pills and promotes them as the solution to all of our public health problems. History shows that Big Pharma often gets its pills endorsed by the FDA and other regulatory bodies without the proper oversight. In a number of egregious cases, these pills cause more damage than they cure. Lawsuits follow and in some cases, the drug is discontinued – but only after untold numbers of consumers have died.

Presumably, mifepristone is safe – at least, in a narrow chemical sense. There are no known side effects. But what are the emotional and psychological “side effects” of killing the fetus in your womb by simply popping a pill?/ Maybe it eases some women’s conscience. For others, it may do just the opposite.

Sadly, this may be our new anti-life culture. Women take one pill to prevent pregnancy, and if that fails, they take another to end it. Our medicine cabinets are already filled with drugs to enhance life. With abortion pills, we’re about to stock them with drugs to promote death.

alongside this battle is another one that could soon overshadow the

In fact, it’s opened up a whole new chapter.

Some states have banned the pills but Biden is seeking to expand their use and even allow women to get them over the Internet without a doctor’s permission let alone presence.

Could undermine all new laws limiting abortion to fewer weeks than allowed under Roe v. Wade?

This may be our new anti-life culture. Take one pill to prevent pregnancy and if that fails, take another to end it.

The drug in question is actually useful for other medical purposes — to treat other serious illnesses but it’s being pressed into service here to bolster the baby-killing industry.

No need to go to a doctor’s office and go through the process of getting ready to end a life, in the presence of others, in public, and with a record of it, maybe having moral qualms or second thoughts — just pop a pill you quietly obtained online and voila it’s done.

Another example of how Big Pharma pretends to support consumer health.
